Creepy Crawler! DIY Four-Legged Walking Robot STEM Kit

Creepy Crawler! DIY Four-Legged Walking Robot STEM Kit is a playful and educational activity designed for science experiments for 1st graders, making early STEM learning simple and exciting. From the very first build, children observe motion, coordination, and balance while exploring biology working models in a fun, hands-on way. As a result, abstract concepts become easier to understand through movement and assembly.

This interactive kit supports science experiments for 1st graders by turning mechanical motion into a visual learning experience. Moreover, it helps young learners connect how rotating parts create walking motion, building curiosity and confidence at an early age.

Materials and User Manual

  • Pre-cut wooden plates
  • Electric motor with wires
  • Gearbox & crank linkage components
  • Metal rods / axles
  • Plastic gears
  • Foam pads
  • Mounting screws & hardware
  • Battery holder (batteries not included)
  • Screwdriver
  • Assembly guide manual

Working Principle

The robot uses a small electric motor connected to a simple gear and crank-linkage system. When powered, rotational motion is converted into coordinated leg movement, allowing the robot to walk smoothly. This clear demonstration supports science experiments for 1st graders by visually explaining how energy changes form. At the same time, it reflects concepts commonly seen in biology working models related to movement and coordination.

Features of This Science Project:

  • DIY four-legged walking robot kit
  • Designed especially for science experiments for 1st graders
  • Demonstrates gears, motion, and coordination
  • Supports learning through biology working models
  • Safe wooden parts with easy assembly
  • Ideal for early STEM classrooms and home learning

Advantages of This Science Project

  • Quality Time Together: Parents and children can enjoy building and testing the model together, turning science experiments for 1st graders into memorable learning moments.
  • Learning Wrapped in Fun: Instead of rote learning, kids explore ideas naturally through motion, which keeps them engaged longer.
  • Confidence and Achievement: Completing the robot boosts confidence while reinforcing ideas often introduced through biology working models.

Package Includes:

  • 1 Piece– Creepy Crawler! DIY Four-Legged Walking Robot STEM Kit

Note: This DIY kit may be available in different chassis colors, as shown in the images.
