Automatic Whiteboard Cleaner (Wired)
Abstract: This is a prototype model of an “Automatic Whiteboard Cleaner.”
In this project, we demonstrate a mechanism that can clean a whiteboard automatically using a rack and pinion mechanism.
Cleaning blackboards or whiteboards consumes a significant amount of time during teaching sessions. To address this, we propose an automated board-cleaning mechanism that cleans the entire board automatically with just a button click.
Our system consists of a set of frames, brackets, supporting rods, dusters, motors, and rollers to achieve this functionality. The design aims to save both time and effort required for manual cleaning. It can clean the board in less than half the time compared to a human.
The cleaning mechanism includes dusters mounted on shafts connected to a supporting frame. A motor drives these shafts in the required direction to perform the cleaning motion. To ensure the entire board surface is covered, we use a rack and pinion mechanism to move the upper and lower parts of the frame horizontally. This allows the duster frame to travel from one end of the board to the other, effectively cleaning the entire surface.

4. Post-Delivery Policy:
If any damage occurs after delivery or the project becomes non-functional for any reason, the lab will not be responsible for repair, replacement, or compensation.
5. Repair & Service Charges:
If you wish to have a damaged project repaired, the cost of defective components and service charges will be applied separately.
6. Online Repair Policy:
In the case of online sales, the student must bear the transportation cost for sending the project both ways (to and from our lab).
